NF1 is capable of unmatched density, delivering many times the storage system density of comparable SSDs. Its the combination of higher drive capacity and higher system-level density which allows NF1 to deliver up to 6 times the storage capacity of standard U.2 SSDs.

If you configure your Supermicro server with PCIe NF1 storage technology, you will enjoy significant advantages in performance and speed. The Samsung PM983 4TB NF1 drive is able to achieve a max read speed of 3000 mb/s and max write speed of 1400 mb/s. The random read speed comes in at about 480,000 IOPs, while the random write speed reaches 42,000 IOPs.

The NF1 drives used in building Supermicro servers feature dynamic wear-levelling, end-to-end data protection and enhanced power loss data protection.These drives were specifically built to maximise performance and capacity for more punishing workloads. Data processing is a lot faster and more energy-efficient with this storage technology.
