The systems within this range feature massive memory capacities, allowing you to configure them with up to 12TB of RAM.
Certain 7U server models can be turned onto their side and utilised as pedestal servers (also known as free standing towers). With this you also enjoy the option of rack mounting the server at some point in the future. For a lot of 1U and 2U servers, this isn't possible as they are often too thin to stand upright.
Another advantage of a 7U server is the huge expansion options available.
